1. Scope
This notice covers this portfolio website only. Each app listed on the site has its own Privacy Policy, linked from its page.
2. What is collected
Without your consent, the site loads no analytics or advertising scripts and sets no tracking cookies. The only thing stored in your browser is your cookie choice (in local storage, under the key “analytics-consent”).
The site is hosted on Firebase Hosting (Google). To deliver pages and protect the service, the hosting provider processes technical request data such as IP address, browser user agent and the page requested.
With your consent (the “Accept” button), the site loads Google Analytics for Firebase, which collects:
- pages visited and how you navigated between them;
- device, browser and operating system type, screen size and language;
- approximate location (country/city) derived from your IP address;
- a randomly generated identifier stored in the cookies _ga and _ga_<ID>.
Advertising features are switched off: ad storage, ad user data and ad personalization are always denied.
3. Contact by email
The contact form does not send data to a server. It opens your own email app with your message filled in. If you email me, I receive your address and whatever you write, and use it only to reply.
4. Legal bases
- Consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)): analytics cookies and Google Analytics measurement.
- Legitimate interests (GDPR Article 6(1)(f)): hosting, security and answering messages you send.
5. Retention
- Analytics data: kept according to the Google Analytics retention setting for this property (default 2 months for user-level data); aggregated reports may be kept longer.
- Analytics cookies: up to 2 years, or until you withdraw consent or clear your cookies.
- Emails: as long as needed to handle your message.
6. Recipients and transfers
Google (Firebase Hosting and Google Analytics) processes data as a service provider. Google may process data outside the European Economic Area, including in the United States, under GDPR-recognised safeguards such as the EU-US Data Privacy Framework and Standard Contractual Clauses.
No data is sold or used for advertising.
7. Your choices and rights
You can withdraw consent at any time with Cookie settings in the footer: choosing Decline removes the analytics cookies and stops measurement.
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict or object to processing of your personal data and to data portability. Write to serbanvadi@gmail.com. You may also complain to the Romanian supervisory authority ANSPDCP (www.dataprotection.ro) or your local authority.
8. Changes
If this notice changes, the effective date above will be updated.
